Proslackination...

A wise woman once said, "If you combine procrastination with slacker you get a proslackinator." And that is what I am. So in true proslackination form, here is the update on the last several weeks of our lives.

50 days to 50:
We had a surprise birthday party for my mother-in-law, each kid made a quilt block that represented them, and my sister-in-law Marie sewed the them all together.
Guthrie kids and the quilt top.
Elaine and her cake with everyone...except me I volunteered to take the picture.

Decorating the House:
If you have ever been to my house than you know that I am not a big decorator. I am not good with colors (just look at the ugly orange walls) enough said. So I tried to spruce up my house this year for Halloween and we had a few decorations that were fun (and mostly easy)

Our pinata...a work in progress. Our "Monster" Houses. We had a really fun time making these,
I think it will become a tradition.
This is Jack's Birthday Cake. I thought it turned out really cute!
In the background you will see our Mr. "Pumpkin" Ninja Head
Halloween Pre-Parties:
We had a couple different "pre" Halloween Parties this year and we had a blast at them. Jack had several different costumes to wear but we went as a Monkey for the 2 parties and then (because it was so hot on his birthday) we went with a spiky-haired basketball player.
(My mischievous monkey)(Jack pretending to be a dog)(Mom and Jack)(I just love the "monkey" tail)
(Hi we're the Guthrie's)
1st Birthday:

I really should have a separate blog post devoted to this, but do to proslackination, I feel like I should just do it all together. I can't believe that my baby is one! The last year has just flown by and I can truly say that I love being a mother. Jack brings me so much joy and purpose to our lives, and we are truly blessed.

One of Jack's favorite things to do at his Party was play with his cousins. He enjoyed Grace pushing him in the doll stroller. And then pushing Grace around in the same said stroller.Jack hitting out home-made pinata.

What a cute little monkey that boy of yours is! And you have proven yourself to be quite the professional proslackinator. Well done.

SO cute! I don't think I ever saw him in his minkey costume!

I did come by your house on his b-day, but no one answered the door! I was sad. I wanted homemade rootbeer!

Hey, my hands look really good in that picture of the pinata! Thanks for not posting the picture of "all the people who helped make the pinata" because then my face would have been in it! You create FANTASTIC parties!

Jack's party looks like it was a blast! He is getting so big. He looks so much like a little boy now! Amazing how fast they grow. Glad to see all is going well! We need to get together soon!

'Bout time! I was missing you! ;)

Jack is the cutest little boy. And one! Already! Wow. I can't wait to see him in action.

I am actually quite the proslackinator myself. That IS a great description....

You are the coolest mom for making a "ya-ya" (pinata in Sofia Woolf language)
