We took a grandkid picture a few days ago and my goodness they were so good. They were all looking (except Julie) and were happy (mostly).
Here are a few of my favorites!

Nice Trip...
...See ya next fall. Most people who know me have seen my klutziness in action. I seem to trip or drop something every time. Well it seems my son inherited this from me.
I have one step in my house, it goes from my entry way into the front room. Jack is the master of this step. He will walk down it without batting an eye. My parents have many steps (all together) at their house (the stair case). I am paranoid about the stairs and shut the gate first thing whenever I get to my parents house. Others are not so paranoid and leave the gate open all the time. Well, yesterday, such a thing happened. Someone left the gate open after trekking up or down the stairs and my son took a tumble.
It was like it was in slow motion. I look over and he is standing at the top of the stairs, I say No and hurry to shut the gate. He shakes his head "no" as he always does when I tell him no (it is his way of copying not being definite). Anyways, I am running over there and next thing I know he had taken a step...forward and that began his downward motion. I sprint to the stairs and see my son a third of the way down already. I hurl down the stairs and leap over my son to get below him. I am not sure exactly what happened, but I must have slipped and hit the stairs with my arm. But I caught him. We were about 2/3 of the way down the stairs and we slowly, painfully got to the bottom of the staircase. I kind of collapsed as Jack cried hysterically on my shoulder. After a minute I checked him out and he seemed to be fine just scared. He stopped crying after he realized that he had indeed made it downstairs and he could now play with the toys. I sat there for a moment longer and then it hit me! OUCH!!! My whole left side of my body hurt! I must have landed on arm funny because today I am still really sore.
All I can say is that I am really grateful that Jack rolled more sideways down the stairs and that I caught him right when he was about to roll on his neck. I am grateful that the spirit inspired me to look over at Jack a moment before he began rolling. I am grateful that I am still able to run and jump so that I could catch the boy before he tumbled all the way down the stairs. I am grateful for a mom who worries about me and let me cry at the bottom of the stairs. I am grateful for Ibuprofen, which has helped with the inflammation and pain. I am grateful for a husband who gets up with a crying baby and lets me sleep. I am grateful for Jesus Christ who experienced so much more pain and suffering than I. I am so grateful for this Time and Season when so many have their hearts open to Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father.
Happy Holidays Everyone!

What a week so far...
Well since last week Jack has had the grossest, goopiest eyes ever...and of course I don't have a picture. (if I find one I will post it). Besides that he has actually been really happy (for the most part), so of course I figured it was just a cold. Finally, last night I took him into the Dr. (my doc office has a great after hours care and it is the same price and in the same office and everything). Turns out he has an ear infection which was bubbling over into his eyes...gross. So I got his antibiotics last night and some oober expensive eye drops and today his eyes look a lot better.
Wish me luck tomorrow I am working with my mom for the day decorating a Christmas tree for some really rich people. (but that's not why I need some luck) Later that night I will be going to the midnight showing of Twilight with some friends and I want to be able to stay awake and enjoy the movie.
Friday I have a wedding and Saturday I have a work meeting!! All in all a pretty busy week! :-)

Proslackination...
A wise woman once said, "If you combine procrastination with slacker you get a proslackinator." And that is what I am. So in true proslackination form, here is the update on the last several weeks of our lives.
50 days to 50:
We had a surprise birthday party for my mother-in-law, each kid made a quilt block that represented them, and my sister-in-law Marie sewed the them all together.
If you have ever been to my house than you know that I am not a big decorator. I am not good with colors (just look at the ugly orange walls) enough said. So I tried to spruce up my house this year for Halloween and we had a few decorations that were fun (and mostly easy)
I really should have a separate blog post devoted to this, but do to proslackination, I feel like I should just do it all together. I can't believe that my baby is one! The last year has just flown by and I can truly say that I love being a mother. Jack brings me so much joy and purpose to our lives, and we are truly blessed.
One of Jack's favorite things to do at his Party was play with his cousins. He enjoyed Grace pushing him in the doll stroller.
And then pushing Grace around in the same said stroller.

Our pinata...a work in progress.
Our "Monster" Houses. We had a really fun time making these,
I think it will become a tradition.
This is Jack's Birthday Cake. I thought it turned out really cute!
In the background you will see our Mr. "Pumpkin" Ninja Head

Halloween Pre-Parties:
We had a couple different "pre" Halloween Parties this year and we had a blast at them. Jack had several different costumes to wear but we went as a Monkey for the 2 parties and then (because it was so hot on his birthday) we went with a spiky-haired basketball player.

Vote YES on 102
If you believe that Marriage should be One Man and One Woman this November vote Yes on 102! If you not think it will make a difference if Same-Sex Marriage is legalized watch this.
It makes all the difference in the world! I don't want my kids growing up in this kind of world and going to school and thinking this is normal and acceptable behavior. If it comes to that, I am going to follow my sisters' lead and home school my children.
