Why?

Not only is this Jack's favorite word, but it is a question I've been asked recently. "Why did you go private with your blog?" No I am not really worried about who is reading my blog...as long as I know you...or know of you...or have heard of you....or we have the same friends or relatives and you just get link happy and clicked over here on my blog....No it is because I was getting sent readers from this really strange website and it was sending random people from all over the world to my blog, people from countries some of which I'd never heard of before. So after tracking that for about 6mths, I just decided to go private with a new blog address.

So even if I don't know you from Adam and you want to keep reading my blog (don't be like me and too scared to ask for an invite)...just leave me your email below and I'll invite you over to view the new blog.

It's time...

Crime shows!

I love crime shows ( CSI, Bones, Law and Order, ect.) if you are like me you need to go and check this out. It's hilarious! Go on...Go check it out...

Book Worm

Now I don't pretend to be a book critic...okay that's a lie...maybe sometimes I do. But I just wanted to share some of my most recent favorites and of course a couple I am really looking forward to reading!I just finished reading Ella Enchanted again and as always it was delightful and I devoured it. If you've seen the movie with Anne Hathaway and you're thinking I don't need to read the book, you are dead wrong! The movie is kinda lame and although it shares some of same characters they are the same in name/species only, and follows but a sketch of the real story. If you haven't read it, or just haven't read it recently you should go and do it...um NOW! Next is These is my Words. A touching story following a young women growing up in the Arizona Territories during the late 1800's. I warn ya, you'll probably cry, but it's a good cry, a cleansing cry. Next is Mocking Jay, aka the FINAL book in the Hunger Games Trilogy!!! I just found out today that the book comes out the end of August and yep, I pre-ordered my copy. Usually I'm not a pre-order the book type, especially since I don't own the first 2 in the series. But I really don't want to wait on the library list or on the friend list to read this one! In fact I want to read it right NOW! The first two books in the series were amazing, I loved the plot, the character development, the scent (yeah it's weird) but I could really picture and smell the field.
The last one is a Artemus Fowl book that comes out on Aug 3rd. I have read all of the rest of them and I quite enjoyed them, especially once you get through the first book. Why was the first book hard? Well, the hero of the book isn't a hero at all. In fact, he is a criminal mastermind! So it was hard to get into at first because I kept thinking, this is a kid, what is doing?! But then...well I won't spoil it for you, you'll just have to read the series yourself. And I for one am glad there there is another one to add to my collection.

Dude I want one

Yes I already have a Bosch that I love love love!! But it is the old one and they no longer make the special bread bowls for the old one and well I would love the new one so that I can get the new bread bowl! So go to this blog and enter for yourself!

And then I have to remember that I really am blessed and it could have been a whole lot worse!

Jack wasn't with me but Lucy was but we are both okay! This wasn't in our plan but then does anyone really plan for this? The monster of a truck that hit me

Jack Edward

The Jack Update

Loves his "ucy iser" (Lucy sister") and loves to "help". He often gets the assignment to take Lucy's soiled diapers to the "diaper trash". He told me his first joke/funny the other day. We are working on what his full name is.
Stacy: Jack what's your name?
Jack: Jack E boy
S: No your Jack Edward
J: Jack Edward
S: Good, and that's Lucy Aleen, so what's your name?
J: Jack Aleen....and Lucy Edward

Oh my silly boy you make me smile.Jack is also a good helper and he can often be found helping to do the dishes, clean the bathroom, making breakfast (eggs), and "fixing" the walls (this is down by pounding with his hammers all over the house).

Jack's vocab has started growing exponentially. He is talking in full sentences and it mush more understandable...at least to those fluent in the Jack dialect of 2 year old.

Jack loves everything car, trains, or trucks. Pretty much if it has wheels he loves it and it is "MINE". We are working on sharing and how to use a quiet voice.

Jack loves his cousins and friends. Anytime we get on the freeway he asks if we are going to Brea's house. Anytime we drive down Spur he points to Maura's house then Rylie's house, driving down our street he points to Macy's house and then Brighton's house.

As we drive to Nana's house he asks if we are going to Jonas' house, I say no and he asks if we are going to Aaron's house. (You get to all of these houses the same way). As we drive west on our way to Grandma's house he asks if we are going to Parker's house and when we pass by he knows Grandma's house is next and gets excited to see " Amma, nInda, Rara, Wad, Anna, and Marhee.Jack loves to JUMP! He is our jumping Jack and seriously jumps everywhere. If he's not Jumping he's running.

He loves wearing jeans and loves to pick out his own clothes....usually he does pretty good, but not always.

He still loves nap time. Although last couple days he hasn't actually napped. Instead, he gets his sippy cup with milk goes to his room and plays/sings/"reads" for at least 2 hours. I really don't care if he actually sleeps (although he's happy if he does) as long as he gives me at least 2 hours.

Jack loves to laugh and loves to make us laugh.

Lucy Aleen

The Lucy Update

Wow is she really 4 months old already! She goes to the Dr. next week but I never did update on her stats from her last appointment.

At 2mths old (3/9/10) she weighed 11lbs 7oz (70%), was 23.5 in tall (90%), and had a head circumference in the 20%.

She is such a happy baby most of the time and as of right now is sleeping in 4-6 hour spurts at night. She will go down anywhere from 6-8 and then sleep 6 hours, wake up eat and go back to sleep for another 4-6, wake up, eat, and go back to sleep for another 2-4. And although I wish she would sleep for longer stretches it's still pretty fabulous!

She can roll from her back to her tummy and does so regularly (and luckily doesn't cry so much anymore now when she is on her tummy). She can also "scoot" while on her back and ends up all over the place, never where I actually put her down. The other day I about had a heart attack when I glance down just a minute after I had put her down and she was gone! Luckily she can't go to far yet.

She loves to be talked to and will carry on a "conversation" with you. I love this age when it is so easy to bring a big full smile that lights up their entire face!Lucy loves to suck on thing. Her Binky is my first choice...but she loves fingers (yours and hers), arms, shirts and blankets. She drools like a leaky faucet and constantly has a soaked shirt.

She always looks for Jack when she is put in the car, and lights up like the sky on the 4th of July.Lucy's hair is red and so far it is sticking...we will just have to wait and see if she goes blond like Erik and his siblings did.
